Temple to Be Built on the Lines of Ram Mandir Ayodhya
The Maa Janki Janmabhoomi Mandir will be developed on the similar format as of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The temple has already secured an estimated budget of over ₹880 crore. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to Attend the Event
Nityanand Rai also announced that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be attending the foundation ceremony as the chief guest. He also expressed great delight in saying that the new Maa Janki Janmabhoomi Mandir will place Sitamarhi on the national spiritual map. According to him, PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah, and CM Nitish Kumar are giving special attention to the sacred site.
Temple Trust Management Committee Formed
A dedicated trust has been formed for the planning and execution of the Maa Janki Janmabhoomi Mandir project. The committee is named as the “Shri Janakiram Janmabhoomi Punauradham Mandir Nyas Samiti”. It is created under the Section 32(5) of the Bihar Hindu Religious Trusts Act, 1950.
Bihar’s Chief Secretary has been appointed as the committee’s Chairperson. The Development Commissioner of Bihar has been selected for serving as the Vice-Chairperson of the committee. They both will lead the 9-membered trust responsible for construction and administration of the temple.
Who’s Who in the Temple Trust Committee
In addition to the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson, the trust also has the following members:
- Sitamarhi’s Deputy Development Commissioner as Treasurer
- Sitamarhi DM as Secretary
- Head priest (Mahant) of Punauradham Math
- Senior officials from Tourism, Road Construction, Urban Development, and the Tirhut Divisional Commissioner
Secretary and Treasurer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the trust.
