Bihar EV Registrations Double in a Year
According to the official data from the Bihar Transport Department, last year in 2023–24, a total of 10,850 EVs were registered in the state. But now in the year 2024–25, over 23,096 electric vehicles have been registered in Bihar. This shows around a 113% increment from last year which is commendable! Bihar Government’s Vision for EVs
Bihar’s Transport Minister Sheela Kumari announced the objective that the main goal is to change the lifestyle of people instead of just switching vehicles. She also highlighted the Bihar government’s commitment of making Bihar a leading state in adoption of electric vehicles. This will improve the quality of life and also reduce maintenance costs.
Subsequently, Bihar’s Transport Secretary Sanjay Kumar Agrawal announced an ambitious target.
