What is the Free BPSC Coaching Scheme?
The scheme was launched by the Department of Backward and Extremely Backward Class Welfare. Under this initiative, the permanent residents of Bihar will be getting free BPSC and UPSC coaching along with monthly support if they belong to the OBC and EBC categories.
Candidates who will qualify for the scheme will receive expert guidance for civil services exams like UPSC and BPSC. The free coaching program will be launched and controlled from Jananayak Library and the State Digital Study Centre located in Patna.
Where and How Will the Coaching Be Conducted?
There will be offline study centres in each district of Bihar. A total of 38 centres will be operational. Each centre will host two batches of 60 students each, so a total of 120 students will be studying at one centre. They will be trained and guided for 6 months. The free BPSC Coaching centres will have digital classrooms, libraries and up-to-date exam study material.
Apart from the free BPSC Coaching, students who maintain a 75% attendance will also get ₹3,000 monthly support.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Candidates must be following the given criteria to be eligible for the the Free BPSC Coaching programme :
- Should be a Permanent resident of Bihar
- Should belong to the Backward or Extremely Backward Class
- Total family income should not exceed ₹3,00,000 annually
- Should be eligible to sit for UPSC/BPSC examination (Age limit and educational qualification)
60% of the total seats are reserved for extremely backward classes, while the remaining 40% are allocated for backward classes.
How to Apply for Free BPSC Coaching?
If you meet the eligibility criteria for the Free BPSC Coaching, you must apply for it at the earliest as the last date to apply is 12 July. The application process is easy, you just need to submit your application through the official state portal of Bihar government: state.bihar.gov.in.
You will have to fill all the details and upload documents to prove your eligibility. Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official website to get all the latest updates.
