Architecture and Design Details
The Buddha Smriti Stupa has a height of 33.10 metres which makes it the tallest stone stupa in India. It’s external diameter is approximately 50 metres. It is constructed very uniquely without the use of cement, concrete or bricks. Instead, the stupa is made using 38,500 blocks of pink sandstone which were purchased from Bansi Paharpur in Rajasthan. It is the same material that is used in the construction of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir.
